Places That We Know
A community platform for sharing the built, social and natural heritage of the Muirshiel Hills, Lochwinnoch, the Garnock Valley, Three Towns, Kilwinning and Irvine.
It features digital trail making , mapping and an online repository for photos, sound, video and documents. Each function is user-led allowing communities to share the stories, events and people that make each place unique.
The trail functions of scoop map were used to digitise existing paper based routes promoting active, healthy lifestyles and clean air in the vicinity of Strathclyde Country Park in Lanarkshire. Creating an app focused on a number of routes that can be walked or cycled increased the potential audience of existing trails.
